This system is designed to handle trays with dimensions 400x300x70mm with an accumulation of 5 where the operator needs to deposit the tray manually.
The tray is positioned with its identification tag with the bar code. The robot will proceed with the reading of the bar code and will send the communication to the cell about what type of protective oil the pallet needs. Once received the processing input from the management software, the robot will pick up the tray, and will deposit it in the first oiling station on a special linear axis with a suitable support in stainless steel perforated plate. The vertical axis will perform a rotation that can be set in the recipe and will go down to a tank where the oil will always be kept at a constant level. The tray will be completely submerged. After some times (set on the panel), the axis will reach a dripping level to allow the tray to drain the excess oil as much as possible, also setting inclinations and rotation speed at this stage. After these operations, the robot will pick up the tray and take it to the blowing station to allow to an air blade to reduce excess oil on the tray. Then it will be brought to the wrapping station and packed on both sides. The robot will have to change the gripper to take the tray with a vacuum one, instead of a mechanical gripper after the first passage in the wrapper.
At the next step the label will be applied and the packed tray deposited in a plastic case unstacked by the robot. The robot will pick up the box and tray and place them in a pallet for the final withdrawal of the boxes.
Each movement is studied based on the type of product, trying to understand the most appropriate robot movement.
